WestJet has announced three new non-stop routes this summer, including from the London International Airport to Vancouver, B.C.
In addition, the airline will offer direct service from Hamilton, Ont. to Vancouver and from Toronto to Brandon, Man.
The service will start on June 29, and run only during the peak summer travel season, ending in early September.
Westjet's John Weatherill said in a statement, "These new flights provide our guests in Brandon, London and Hamilton even more access...In addition, we have opened up the West Coast to our guests in Hamilton and London, Ont. who will now have the opportunity to fly non-stop to Vancouver and beyond."
There will be four weekly non-stop flights from London to Vancouver, three weekly flights from Hamilton to Vancouver and four weekly from Toronto to Brandon.
Mike Seabrook, president and CEO of the London International Airport, said in a statement, "This is great news for our airport and southwestern Ontario, Vancouver is one or our top five most requested destinations...and the direct flights will be very popular with both the business and leisure traveller."
He added that WestJet's capacity in London will increase by almost 70 per cent this summer compared to 2015 with the new flights and other services starting in March.
A one-way fare from London or Hamilton to Vancouver will run you just over $260, including taxes.
Westjet says they will adjust the schedule and make future plans for the routes depending on demand this summer.
