The westbound 401 west of Woodstock is once again open following a transport truck flipped over.

OPP say lane 3 will remain closed at Dodge Line for a period of time.

It's expected to re-open sometime Thursday evening.

Oxford County OPP say the three-vehicle crash closed westbound lanes of the 401 early Thursday morning.

It happened around 4 a.m. in the westbound lanes, a couple of kilometres before the On Route gas stations on the highway.

Traffic was diverted from the 401 at Norwich Avenue and Mill Street, but traffic backed up quickly as dawn approached.

The transport truck ended up on its side, with 450 gallons of diesel fuel spilling. OPP were unsure when the lanes would be clear.

Three people were transported to hospital, two with minor injuries, the other with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The westbound lanes of the highway were closed for over nine hours for the investigation and to clear the highway.
