A Wallaceburg man is facing a slew of charges after police say he pointed a BB gun at his girlfriend.
According to Chatham-Kent police, officers were called to a residence on Sunday around 4:30 a.m. after a man and his girlfriend got into a heated dispute.
Officers say when the fight escalated, the man grabbed a BB gun and pointed it at the woman. Through their investigation, police learned the man is bound by a weapons prohibition order.
The 26-year-old is charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, overcoming resistance to commit an offence, uttering threats, sexual assault possession of a firearm, pointing a firearm, and weapons dangerous.
He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
