After a ten year career in federal politics, Elgin-Middlesex-London, Conservative MP Joe Preston is retiring.

In a release, Preston says he will not to run in the 2015 election.

“Through 10 years and four elections I have had the honour of working with one of Canada’s greatest Prime Ministers,” Preston said in a release Sunday morning, “After a great deal of thought and prayer, I have decided, together with my family, that I will be retiring at the end of this term,” Preston says through a news release.

Preston says he will serve out his current term as MP.
