The Ingersoll man charged in connection with a tragic hit and run collision which seriously injured a 10-year- old London boy is scheduled to enter a guilty plea in court next month.

Toby Van Lieshout, 34, is charged with a number of offences including leaving a crash scene.  He appeared in court Friday and will be back on Jan. 31 to enter a plea and for sentencing.

Back in October, Tyler Brooks-Szabo was seriously hurt when he was struck by a car while riding his bike on a sidewalk in east London.  The boy remains in hospital still recovering from his injuries.

Van Lieshout's 39-year-old wife Rebecca Smith is also charged in connection with the incident. She is due back in court for a bail hearing on Jan. 3.
