Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Perth County, north of St. Marys.
The OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team is on the scene of the fatal crash at Road 149 north of Line 12. It happened Saturday, September 3rd, around 4:30 p.m.
Police say the driver of a Mazda 6 was travelling southbound on Road 149, when he lost control of the car on the gravel road. The car slid sideways, left the roadway and entered the east ditch where it struck a large tree.
The man driving the car, 34-year-old Travis Iredale of St. Marys, and his male passenger, 26-year-old Kurtis Mills of St. Marys, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Road 149 is expected to remain closed between Line 12 and Line 16 until 10:30 p.m. to allow for a complete investigation and safe removal of the vehicle and debris.
