OPP officers say a Stratford man is facing child pornography charges following a month-long investigation and London police have charged a Dorchester man with similar counts.

OPP says they were contacted by the Department of Homeland Security in Utah in October, where they say they found an unknown user from Ontario, allegedly uploading child pornography images to the internet.

The case was forwarded to the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit for further investigation.

Officers executed a search warrant at a south-end Stratford residence on Monday. Investigators say they found two computers and one external hard drive, which they allege, contained images of child sexual abuse.

Thirty-two-year-old Lee David Hughes of Stratford is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of making available child pornography and one count of accessing child pornography.

Hughes was held in custody for a bail hearing and later released to a relative who lives outside the city.

London police say a citizen turned over a USB drive believed to contain child pornography last Thursday.

The Cyber Crime Unit obtained a search warrant for the drive and was able to identify the owner so charges could be laid
