A man and woman from Stratford, Ont. have been charged after a series of thefts in Middlesex, Oxford, Perth and Elgin Counties.

The charges were laid after Middlesex OPP and London police searched a home on Simcoe Street in the city’s downtown.

Stolen property, including a GMC Sierra pickup truck, has been found as a result of the OPP investigation.

Paul Rayner, 39, and Melissa Gunton, 34, both of Stratford, are each facing nine charges of possessing stolen property under $5,000, one count of possessing stolen property over $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation.

Rayner is also charged with possessing, using and trafficking in credit cards.

Both parties have been remanded in custody.

Middlesex OPP investigators are in the process of returning the stolen property to those affected.
