The Thames Valley District School Board selects a familiar face to serve as Chair after Trustee Bill McKinnon stepped aside for personal matters.
Trustee Ruth Tisdale was elected Chair of the Board following a vote Tuesday evening. She will close out the current term which concludes November 30, 2016.
McKinnon resigned his role to focus on family and personal matters. In a release he said, “I am proud to have helped improve the educational opportunities for our children, who are our brightest hope for the future.”
Tisdale has been serving on the Board of Trustees since November of 2006 representing London Wards 1, 11, 12, and 14. She has previously served as Chair in 2014, and 2015.
