Charges have been laid after a crash in Lambton County where a trailer being towed by a commercial vehicle came loose and hit a hydro pole.

Just after 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 7, OPP were called to Rokeby Line, west of Telfer Road in St. Clair Township.

According to police, the crash happened when the trailer came loose, left the roadway and collided with a hydro pole, causing significant damage.

No injuries were reported.

A 34 year old of Enniskillen Township is facing several charges

  • Operate unsafe combination of vehicles - commercial motor vehicle
  • Operate vehicle - fail to display inspection sticker or proof
  • Fail to surrender completed daily inspection report
  • Overweight vehicle - violate permit 7000kg
  • Drive commercial motor vehicle - no valid CVOR certificate
  • Wheel brake rendered inoperable - commercial motor vehicle
  • Improper means of attachment - commercial motor vehicle
