A toddler was found wandering alone in St. Thomas early Friday morning.

Officers on foot patrol were told about the young boy walking near Malakoff Street and Balaclava Street around 5:30 a.m. He was found behind the Boston Pizza on Talbot Street.

Police believe the boy is about three or four years old. He’s 42 inches tall and has dirty blonde shaggy hair. He was wearing blue plaid shorts, a brown sleeveless shirt and dark blue Thomas the Tank Engine Crocs.

The officers say the boy couldn’t articulate what his name was or where he lives. He as in great spirits and is very active.

The father of the child went to the St. Thomas Police Station around 10 a.m. Police are speaking with him and the investigation is continuing.
