Police say a 52-year-old Tillsonburg man has died after being struck by lightning.
OPP say Dave Johnson was mowing his lawn on Sunday afternoon on Glendale Drive when he was struck as a violent storm hit the area.
Police say emergency personnel attempted to revive him.
Johnson, a father of two, was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Neighbours in the area are in shock, saying Johnson was well known and owned a local business.
Anthony Seary, a neighbour from across the street, says he went running to help. "We started doing CPR and he wasn't responding."
Police say all attempts failed and Johnson succumbed to his injuries.
Police advise people to monitor weather reports and to take cover when there is severe weather in the area.
