Emergency crews were called to an address on Hamilton Rd. just east of Veteran's Memorial Parkway on Friday afternoon, after a three year old boy was pulled from a pond with no vital signs.

The call came around 12:10 p.m. after he was pulled out of the pond by a family member.

The child was rushed to Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre with a police escort.

"Today, around noon hour, London police were called to 2144 Hamilton road, for a report that a 3-year old was face-down in a pond, in the rear of the address," says Cst. Frank Figlomeni.

The boy's remains in critical condition.

It's still unclear how the child ended up in the water, but police are continuing to investigate.

"It's a sad thing, especially with kids, but like you know kids they're curious, that's the way it is," adds neighbour Gary Ripley.
