A woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a three-vehicle collision in Norfolk County.

The crash happened on Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at about 11:40 a.m. at Highway 3 and Fertilizer Road, east of Tillsonburg.  Police say a van driven by a 74-year-old man was stopped on Highway 3 waiting to turn northbound onto Fertilizer Road when it was struck by an eastbound pickup truck pulling a wood chipper. The truck then travelled into the westbound lanes of Highway 3 and struck a black car.

The 46-year-old woman from Norfolk County driving the car suffered life-threatening injuries. The 43-year-old man driving the pickup truck and his 42-year-old passenger, both from Tillsonburg, did not sustain any injury. The man driving the van suffered minor injuries.

The OPP's technical traffic collision team is assisting with the investigation. Charges are pending.
