Lambton County OPP say a three-vehicle crash at Petrolia Line and Brigden Road on Thursday sent three people to hospital.

The collision happened around 6:45 a.m. Thursday, when a Dodge Colt southbound on Brigden Road struck a Ford pickup truck that was eastbound on Petrolia Line.

A transport truck that was stopped on Brigden Road facing north was also struck, but the driver, a 41-year-old from Brigden, was not injured.

The driver and a passenger in the pickup, Gerald Burton, 55, and 21-year-old Genevieve Burton, both of Corunna, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and have since been released.

The driver of the Colt, 57-year-old Sheila Boucquez of Dresden, was also taken to a local hospital before being transferred to London, but there are no details on the nature or severity of her injuries.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team is assisting with the investigation and the intersection remained closed for several hours but has since reopened.
