London police say two more women have reported sexual assaults in the same area as one reported on Tuesday, and they may all involve the same suspect.

Around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in the area of the bike path near Trafalgar Street and Rectory Street.

The woman struggled with her attacker and he then fled eastbound on a grey mountain bike. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say they have now learned there were two unreported sexual assaults in the last 30 days that occurred in the same area as the most recent assault happened.

The victims in those assaults reportedly had previous involvement in the sex trade.

London Police Service Const. Ken Steeves says “We’re encouraging any other people who may be a victim of sexual assault to come forward and report it to police.”

Based on the area where all three attacks occurred and the similarity in the suspect description, police believe the same suspect may be involved.

While the investigation continues, police say they are releasing the information in the interest of public safety.

Anyone who is out alone late at night or early in the morning is asked to take precautions.

Steeves adds “We’re also encouraging other people within the community to be aware of their surroundings and if they see any suspicious activity to call 911 immediately.”

The suspect is described as a black male, 35-40 years old, 5’5”-5’7” tall, weighing 150-180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with purple stripes and black jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
