Perth County OPP say three people were sent to hospital after a pickup truck crashed into a tree Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the collision at 4:30 p.m. along Road 165, just north of Perth Line 88 west of Gowanstown.

Investigators say a green Ford pickup truck was travelling northbound on Road 165 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck entered the west ditch, striking a large tree with the front driver’s side of the vehicle.

The driver, a 22-year-old man from Clifford, as well as a 21-year-old male passenger from Palmerston and a 24-year-old female passenger from Minto Township, were all transported to Listowel Memorial Hospital.

The driver was stabilized and transported to London Health Sciences Centre with major but non-life threatening injuries. The two passengers were treated and released.
