Small airplane crashes near Brantford airport, killing one person: OPP

BRANTFORD, Ont. - Provincial police say a small airplane has crashed near the Brantford airport, killing its only occupant.

Const. Larry Plummer says the aircraft crashed into a parking lot (beside York Road) just east of the airport, at about 11 a.m Wednesday.

He says there were no other injuries or damage.

Plummer says a team of investigators from the Transportation Safety Board of Canada is headed to the scene, in the southwestern Ontario city southwest of Hamilton.
