London police say a traffic stop lead officers to executing a search at a home, where a shotgun and drugs were seized.

According to police, officers attempted to pull over a driver they identified as being suspended Wednesday morning, but officers say the driver attempted to flee from police in the vehicle. The suspect was later arrested after abandoning the vehicle.

Officers say the suspect was in possession of drugs and a large quantity of cash. Members of the London police guns and drugs section executed a warrant at the accused's residence which resulted in further drugs and a sawed-off Cooey 12-gauge shotgun being seized.

Police say 23-year-old London resident Sean Thomson is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, three counts of fail to comply with a recognizance, careless storage of a firearm, possession of weapon, possession of firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with and possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized.

Thomson was also charged with three counts of possession of a controlled for the purpose of trafficking.

Officers say 0.3 grams of methamphetamine, 0.5 grams crack cocaine, 40 grams marijuana and 38 Clonazepam tablets were seized with a total value of $518.50.
