A school bus driver has been charged with a traffic offence after her bus collided with a van while carrying 10 children home from school.
The collision occurred just before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the intersection of Perth Road 113 and Line 26 south of Stratford.
According to Perth County OPP, the bus stopped at the intersection and then began to move forward – bringing it directly into the path of an eastbound van.
The collision sent the bus driver to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
None of the children aboard the bus were hurt. The driver of the van was also said to be OK.
The bus driver faces a charge of failure to yield to traffic under the Highway Traffic Act.
