The Canadian Propane Association is calling for authorities to move to bring a peaceful resolution to the CN rail blockade in Sarnia.

The association says Sarnia is a strategic location for the transportation of propane.

It says a prolonged blockade threatens to cut off the supply of propane to the thousands of Canadians that depend on it to fuel their farms and businesses, and heat their homes.

First Nations protesters have vowed not to end the blockade until Prime Minister Harper meets with Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence, who is on a hunger strike in Ottawa.
