A Sarnia police officer has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
The province's Special Investigations Unit says shortly after 6:00 p.m. on May 12, Sarnia Police responded to a disturbance at the intersection of Capel Street and Exmouth Street.
An interaction took place between an officer and a 16-year-old girl.
She had to be taken to Bluewater Health, with a broken arm.
Const. Anthony Vennettilli is facing a charge of assault cause bodily harm.
He will answer to the charge on Aug. 2.
