Lambton OPP say a 33-year-old Sarnia man suffered serious injuries after a crash in St. Clair Township.

Police were called to the crash on Brigden Road, north of Moore Line at about 1:15 a.m.

Investigation revealed that a Yamaha motorcycle had been south bound on Brigden Road when the operator lost control and slid down the roadway.

The operator was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to hospital as he had had suffered serious injuries.

Due to the damage to the motorcycle and level of injury, OPP temporarily closed Brigden Road between Rokeby and Moore Lines in order to facilitate the continued investigation.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigations Team was also called to the scene.

The name of the injured driver won't be released pending the results of the investigation and reasonable notification of the next-of-kin.
