A 24-year-old Sarnia man has died after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 402 near London.

Middlesex County OPP say it happened in the eastbound lanes just east of Colonel Talbot Road around 5:50 a.m. Thursday.

The driver has been identified by police as Joshua Alderton, 24, of Sarnia.

A Suzuki SUV was travelling eastbound when it ran off the roadway and rolled. Police say the driver was not wearing his seatbelt and sustained injuries.  He was transported to a London hospital, where he died of his injuries.

He was the lone occupant of the vehicle.  Official cause of death has not been determined as a post mortem examination time has not been set.

All eastbound lanes were diverted off at Colonel Talbot Road Thursday morning, but they have since been reopened.
