Roads begin to reopen as conditions in southwestern Ontario improve

Police across the region warneddrivers of deteriorating road conditions and poor visibility as snow squalls moved through on Thursday afternoon.
In Sarnia, police were investigating a single-vehicle crash on River Road at Sun Avenue, and multiple crashes were reported overnight on Highway 402 in the Strathroy area as well as a large stretch of Highway 401 between Chatham and Windsor.
According to 511 Ontario, almost all highways in Huron, Perth and Brue counties were partially snow covered with reduced visibility.
Although OPP had marked several roads in Huron and Perth counties closed into the afternoon, as we approach Thursday evening, some roads are being reopened due to improving conditions.

Hwy 8 both directions between Dublin and Sebringville
Harriston Rd (Hwy 87) from Bluevale to Perth County border
Blyth Rd is now open from Highway 21 to Blyth, but closed beyond Blyth.
Highway 21 from Amberly to Port Elgin is closed.
