It will be an extended weekend for students at Regina Mundi Catholic College.

Thanks to a ruptured water line, officials with the London District Catholic School Board have decided to cancel classes Tuesday.

Crews continue to fix the leak and the damage it caused.

The board says the rupture damaged the first, second and lower levels of the facility.

Officials with the board have been overseeing  cleanup efforts, which have involved removing water and setting up industrial fans.

So far, there is no estimate of damage.

In the meantime, an assessment of the school's readiness to receive students will be made Tuesday.
