South Bruce OPP was called to the Walkerton Court House Thursday to deal with an unruly prisoner.
According to police, a male prisoner was allegedly hollering and refusing to comply with court staff instructions. OPP says a brief struggle occurred when officers tried removing the man. Pepper spray was used in his apprehension.
Two officers were treated at hospital, and released, for injuries they received during the incident.
Francis Duchene, 22, of Arran-Elderslie Township is charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault, uttering threats and fail to comply with probation.
Duchene remains in custody.
