Police recovered a gun, ammunition along with drugs during an arrest in downtown London.

Around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon, police executed a search warrant at an address on Simcoe Street after receiving information that a firearm may be inside.

Two males inside the address were detained but the gun was not found.

About an hour later, police arrested a man at the corner of Richmond and King.

Police say they found numerous items on his person including, an unloaded .22 calibre revolver firearm with 4 x .22 rounds of ammunition concealed down his pants, a throwing knife, a small quantity of cash along with hydromorph, oxycocet, morphine and methamphetamine.

A 28 year-old London man is facing several charges.
