London police are asking for public help to identify a suspect wanted in connection with a series of alleged sexual assaults in the city’s downtown and southeast end.

Investigators say they have received numerous complaints of a male accosting females while riding past them on a bicycle.

The victims range in age from 13 to 26 and police say the alleged assaults took place from August 26th to September 15th.

The incidents have typically occurred while the females are walking or jogging in the early morning hours or in the evening.

The incidents have occurred in numerous areas including:

  • on Adelaide Street near Queens Avenue
  • Fairview Avenue at Morningstar
  • Frontenac Road near Deveron Crescent
  • Southeast Optimist Park on Deveron Crescent

The suspect is described as a black male with a light to medium complexion, medium build, 5’6” to 5’’10” tall with short black hair. He rides a BMX or mountain bike-style bicycle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-661-5670.

These incidents come after a series of assaults in the Rectory Street and Trafalgar Street area in July that led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man.
