Bruce Peninsula OPP and OPP marine units are looking for a missing swimmer in Lake Huron off the shores of a private cottage area of the Saugeen First Nation.
Police received a report of a missing swimmer on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
OPP say 23-year-old Garrett Lewis of Aurora was last seen in a rocky area of the water. He’s described as 6-foot-1 with a thin build and short light blond hair, wearing sand colored shorts.
Police report that an OPP Aviation Services helicopter and the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit were called in to assist with this search.
"We are talking about this again, but as hard as it may be for the emergency responders, it's much harder on the family and our thoughts are with them," says Kevin Martin of the South Bruce OPP>
