London police hope someone will provide a tip after a cruiser was damaged early Saturday.

About 2:30 a.m., a cruiser was hit with eggs and watermelon at a downtown location while police were responding to another call.

Police say the mess came down on the cruiser from an apartment on Ann Street.

“They were responding in regards to something else and that’s what happened,” said Const. Michelle Kasper.

“A security guard at the apartment approached police (about the cruiser being hit).”

Police say the cruiser was damaged and had a lage dent in its hood.

“They don’t have any suspects at this time,” Kasper said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
