London police have released further details in the discovery of two bodies at two separate locations on Friday.

Officers were called to an apartment at 71 Grand Ave. around 5:30 p.m. to check on the welfare of the occupants.

Police say the body of a woman was found in the apartment, and further investigation led to the discovery the body of a man at a business at 201 High St. around 8:45 p.m.

London police Const. Alanna Hollywood says, "Following autopsy results it was determined that the female died by homicide, which was committed by the male who subsequently committed suicide."

No further information is being released now that the nature of the pair's relationship is better understood.

"In light of the domestic relationship and in respect for the privacy of the surviving family members we will not be releasing the names or causes of death," Hollywood says.

The auto shop where the adult male's body was found remained quiet Tuesday.
