London Police are investigating a fatal collision that killed an elderly man in the city’s east end Saturday.

Police were called to the intersection of Dundas and Third Street around 2:45 p.m. after a beige Oldsmobile van struck a male pedestrian.

The 79-year-old man was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The male driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The Traffic Management Unit is still investigating.

It's not clear if charges will be laid.
