Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle near Wingham

Huron OPP confirm that one person is dead after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle south of Wingham.

Around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday,  emergency crews were called to London Road at Morris Road, near Belgrave.

A name has not been released or any details leading up to the crash.

So police can conduct their investigation, there are several road closures in effect:

• London Road at Cranbrook Road

• London Road at Belgrave/Brandon Road

• Nature Centre Rd West of London Road

• Morris Rd at Clegg Line

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and obey all barricades.
