Perth County EMS say two of their paramedics, as well as two drivers they were assisting, were struck by a vehicle Thursday morning.

Officials say the incident happened around 7 a.m. at Lorne Ave. and Wright Blvd. in Stratford.

The paramedics had responded to a minor crash and were assessing the two drivers involved, when another vehicle struck one of the vehicles involved.

That vehicle then struck all four people and threw them into the snowbank along the side of the road.

The paramedics were able to immediately call for assistance from Stratford police and Perth County EMS.

Fortunately, both the two paramedics and the two drivers involved suffered only minor injuries and were treated in hospital and released.

Stratford police are investigating the cause of the secondary collision.
