The OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit has charged an Owen Sound man following a two-week online child pornography investigation.

In cooperation with the Owen Sound Police Service, a search warrant was executed at a home in the city last Thursday.

Two computers and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized, which police say contained images of child sexual abuse.

As a result Michael Anthes, 40, has been charged with possession of child pornography, make available child pornography and accessing child pornography.

Following a bail hearing on Friday he was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in an Owen Sound court on January 9th.

The investigation is continuing.
