An arrest has been made in Owen Sound’s first murder of 2015.
David Small, 28, has been charged with first degree murder in the death of Lezleigh Hopkins, OPP say.
The lifeless body of the 28-year-old Hopkins was found inside her apartment at 862 2nd Ave. West in Owen Sound on Jan. 22.
Hopkins, who is originally from Hanover, was a tenant in the seven-unit duplex.
Small is scheduled to make a court appearance in Owen Sound on Friday.
Lezleigh was the owner of two cats and loved fishing. In the days following the homicide, police spent hours searching storm sewers around the home where Hopkins’ body was found.
