Around 8 PM Wednesday night, London police, EMS, and a command centre were all stationed in the parking lot of Wilfrid Jury Public School on Lawson Road.

An hour or so later, police including armoured vehicles moved to Blanchard Road and blocked off Blanchard Crescent.

Police did not immediately indicate what the presence was for but when speaking with a CTV News reported they said they were in the area for an investigation with the RCMP.

Officers were remaining in the area to ensure public safety, but expected to clear out by day break.

Police would not confirm any connection to events in Strathroy, and say an update will likely be released in the morning.
