Provincial police have released the identity of a woman killed after a two-car crash near Caledonia.

Christine Thompson, 44, from the City of Orillia, Ont., sustained fatal injuries in the collision on Highway 6, south of Fifth Line on Thursday around 8:45 a.m.

Haldimand County OPP officers say a Saturn was travelling northbound on Highway 6 when it collided with a southbound Ford Focus.

The three occupants from the Saturn were all taken to West Haldimand General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Thompson, the driver of the Ford Focus, was pronounced dead at the scene by the attending coroner.

OPP traffic collision investigators are assisting with the investigation.
