Middlesex OPP say a 53-year-old man from Thames Centre died after a large tree fell on him at a residence on Cobble Hills Road.
It happened at 2 p.m. Monday in the 6000 block of Cobble Hills Road.
Police say the man was cutting down the tree when it landed on him.
The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has been identified as Garnett Smith.
Police say foul play is not suspected.
