A 64-year-old South Bruce man was killed after a two-vehicle crash between a Chevy Camaro and an International Stake truck on Friday.

South Bruce OPP say William Reuber, the driver of the Camaro, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It happened near Formosa at the intersection of Bruce County Road 28 and Huron-Bruce Road around 6 p.m. Friday.

A passenger in the Camaro was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the stake truck, 55-year-old Ralph Kreutzwiser or Huron-Kinloss Township has been charged with failing to yield.

Provincial police say in total two people were killed and several others injured in separate crashes in southwestern Ontario over the weekend.

Investigators found all of the collisions were preventable.

Police are reminding drivers to to avoid distractions, pay attention, check blind spots for motorcycles, take extra time at intersections to ensure the way is clear and wear seatbelts.
