OPP are advising residents about a 76-year-old high-risk offender now living in Oxford County.

Police say Leonard Kenneth Way has been released from custody and is now residing on Brownsville Road in Oxford County.

He has previous convictions for administer noxious thing, indecent assault on a female, gross indecency, sexual intercourse with a female under 14, unlawful confinement, assault, assault causing bodily harm, possession of burglary tools, theft over and theft under and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Way recently completed a 19-year custodial sentence and has now been released under conditions.

The conditions include:

-To keep the peace and be of good behaviour

- Prohibited from attending any public park, public swimming area where persons under the age of 16 years are present or can reasonably be expected to be present

-Prohibited from attending any daycare centre, school ground, playground, arcade or amusement park

-Prohibited from seeking, obtaining or continuing any employment, whether or not the employment is remunerated, or becoming or being a volunteer in any capacity, that involves being in a position of trust or authority towards persons under the age of 16

-Not to be in the company of any child under the age of 16 years unless accompanied by someone who is at least 21 years of age,

-Notify the OPP designate if he becomes involved in a romantic relationship with a person who has access to children under 16 years of age

-Abstain from communicating directly or indirectly with persons outlined in the order

-Report to the OPP as a designated time and place every month and report any changes in vehicle ownership, licence plates, telephone numbers or change of address to the OPP forthwith.

He is also prohibited from possessing any firearm, ammunition or explosive devices for life.
