An Oshawa woman has been named as the person killed in the fatal collision Friday afternoon south of Parkhill.

Police say 74-year-old Mary Murray-Wardlow died when her car was struck going through the intersection of Nairn Road and Centre Road.

Her vehicle was westbound on Nairn, when after stopping for a stop sign it proceeded into the intesection and was hit by a northbound red International Transport truck and trailer loaded with fertilizer.

The two vehicles then struck a third vehicle that was southbound on Centre, and sent the SUV into the ditch where it flipped on its roof.

The lone occupant of the transport truck, a 50-year-old male was uninjured and the driver of the SUV, a 41-year-old from Chatham was treated and released from hospital.

There is no word on whether charges will be laid.
