A man has been sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a motorcycle crash in Norfolk County.

On Tuesday at approximately 5:21 p.m., the Norfolk OPP were dispatched to a North Road, Houghton address as a result of a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcyclist.

Police say it appears that a 1983 Honda off-road motorcycle, being operated by 39-year-old William Lamb from Bayham, Ont. was travelling northbound on North Road.

A grey 2013 Volkswagen being operated by a 52-year-old female from Norfolk County, was travelling southbound on North Road when the vehicle turned east into a driveway of a residence. The off-road motorcycle collided with the car ejecting the rider.

As a result, Lamb was transported to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and then subsequently transported to London Health Sciences Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation and speed is being considered as a contributing factor in this collision.
