OPP is hoping an artist rendering will help spur the public’s memory in identifying human remains found at Mitchell’s Bay in 1987.
Skeletal remains were discovered in a marsh area at Lot 8, on Concession 12 in Dover Township near Wallaceburg, Ont. on March 23, 1987.
An autopsy of the remains determined the cause of death to be drowning.
Since then, the OPP has created a craniofacial approximation, or a life model of what this individual would have looked before death.
Investigators describe the individual as a black male between the ages of 23 and 27-year-old with a slight build. He would have stood between 5’ and 5’7”. Clothing found with remains includes a shirt, blue jeans, size eight “Winner” white and grey running shoes with Velcro straps and red and white sport socks.
Anyone who may recognize this man is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
