Saugeen Shores Police are getting assistance from an OPP helicopter in the search for James Peter “Jim“ Armstrong.
Officers will be conducting searches in Southampton including backyards and seasonal properties.
Police say Armstrong was possibly last seen boarding a CAN-AR bus at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday March 10 at Ralph’s Highway Shoppette in Port Elgin and dropped off at 8:10 a.m. in Walkerton.
Armstrong arrived in Southampton March 5 from Toronto and was visiting a relative.
He is described as 5'9, 160 lbs/. with red curly hair with blue eyes.
Armstrong was last seen wearing green pyjama-style pants and is expected to be without foot wear.
He suffers from a mental health disorder and epilepsy.
