Police say Grand Bend was busy, but for the most part sesquicentennial partiers were well behaved.

Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police officials say they responded to approximately 300 calls on Canada Day alone.

The Canada Day Long Weekend kicked off with approximately 14,000 people attending the Grand Bend annual fireworks display.

The OPP say there were no significant issues reported to police relating to this event.

Police say over the course of the weekend, the Lambton County OPP conducted 6 RIDE programs, laid 88 speeding charges, 8 seat belt charges, 34 alcohol related charges, 6 drug related charges and 2 marine charges.
