OPP Const. Kevin Howe says, "Unfortunately this is the second serious we've had this week. Same nice weather conditions early morning and here we are again today on this beautiful day the roads are clear and we have another serious collision. It's very unfortunate and it's the continued message about how people need to slow down and get to their locations safely."

On Sunday, a 60-year-old London man died in a crash on Medway Road that also had OPP reminding drivers to slow down.

The Highbury was expected to remain closed between Eight Mile and Nine Mile roads for up to eight hours as the scene was cleared and the investigation completed.
