A crash Saturday afternoon on Highway 401 near West Lorne claimed the life of an Oakville man and injured two others.
The highway was closed between 2 and 6 p.m. while OPP investigated.
Police say a blue Buick car was travelling eastbound when it left the roadway and crossed over the centre median. The Buick struck a black Ford pickup truck, which was travelling westbound.
The driver, and lone occupant of the Buick, a 73-year-old male, died at the scene.
The occupants of the Ford, both from Fonthill, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The 70-year-old male driver was transported by air ambulance and his adult female passenger was transported by land ambulance to hospital, where they remain.
