Sudbury author donating profits from children's books to NEO Kids

Sudbury children's author books to help children Kenny Wilson, a Sudbury children's author, has written a series of books and is donating part of the proceeds to NEO Kids.

Sudbury — An author from Greater Sudbury is donating a portion of sales from each book to NEO Kids.

Kenny Wilson of Coniston has written a series of children’s books.

Now, Wilson has launched a campaign that will see $5 from every book sold go to the NEO Kids Foundation. NEO Kids is foundation that helps raise money to buy medical equipment for the children’s facility at Sudbury’s hospital, Health Sciences North.

“I love Sudbury and believe that you get in life what you put out," said Wilson. “I have a friend and he and his wife go down to Toronto to seek treatment for their child."

Wilson added, “NEO Kids is part of that solution, a solution to get treatment closer to home.”

Wilson is expecting to hold the campaign until the end of the year and hopes to raise at least $10,000 for the foundation.
